We believe that the Bible, composed of the 66 books contained in the Old and the New Testaments are divinely inspired by God, and are infallible and inerrant in the original writing, and that they are of supreme and final authority in faith and life. We believe that the canon of scripture is complete and entirely whole – 1 Tim. 3:16-17; Mark 13:31; 2 Peter 1:21; 1 Cor. 2:13.
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit – Matt. 28:19-20; Mark 12:29; John 1:1-4, 14; 2 Cor. 13; 14; Heb. 1:1-3; Rev.1:4-6; 1 John 5:7.
We believe that one Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, and is the true God and true man. That he lived a sinless life and took on himself all our sins. That he was crucified, dead and buried. That he arose on the 3rd day and ascended into heaven where he now sits on the right hand of God the father- Matt. 1:23; 1 Cor. 15:4; Acts 17;2-3.
We believe that man was created in the image of God; that he sinned, and thereby incurred, not only physical death, but also spiritual death which is separation from God; and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature. Gen 1:26-28; Jere. 17:9; John 3:6; Psalm 51:5; Gen. 6:5; Is. 64:6.
We believe that the lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the scripture, as representative and substitutionary sacrifice; and that all who believe in him are justified on the ground of his shed blood – Rom. 5:1; Eph. 2:14; 1 John 2:2.
We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, in His ascension Into Heaven, and his present life there for us as High Priest and Advocate -Heb. 7:25; Rom. 8:34.
We believe in “that blessed hope.” The personal and imminent return of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ - 1 Thess. 4:13 -18; Matt. 24:30; 1 Cor. 15:51-53.
We believe that all who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ are born again of the holy spirit and thereby become children if God - John 1:11-13; Rom. 8:15.
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and unjust, the everlasting blessedness of the saved, and the everlasting punishment of the lost - Luke
